প্রতিটি নিশ্বাস মুল্যবান এখনই নিউমোনিয়া থামান, নিউমোনিয়াকে জানুন নিউমোনিয়াকে প্রতিরোধ করুন সহ বিভিন্ন শ্লোগান তুলে ধরে টাঙ্গাইলের মির্জাপুরে বিশ্ব নিউমোনিয়া দিবস পালন করেছে আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণা সংস্থা চাইল্ড হেলথ্ রিসার্চ ফাউন্ডেশন (সিএইচআরএফ)।
কুমুদিনী হাসপাতালে ভাষা সৈনিক প্রতিভা মুৎসুুদ্দি, উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্বরে উপজেলা নির্বাহী কমকর্তা মো.আবদুল মালেক এবং উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডা. মাকসুদা খানম এই কার্যক্রমের উদ্বোধন করেন ।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন সিএইচআরএফ এর মির্জাপুর অফিসের ইনচার্জ ফিল্ড রিসার্চ ম্যানেজার মো. শামীম হাসান, প্রকল্প সমন্বয়কারী ডা. ওয়াতিন আলম, স্টাডি সমন্বয়কারী নাফিজ আহসান, সহকারী প্রশাসক আসিফ মজুমদার প্রমুখ।
সংস্থাটি উপজেলা স্বাস্থ কপ্লেক্স, কুমুদিনী হাসপাতাল ও উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্বরে বুথ স্থাপন করে দিনব্যাপি সচেতনতামুলক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে। এরমধ্যে নিউমোনিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে সচেতনতামুলক লিফলেট বিতরণ, সঙ্গিত পরিবেশন, প্রজেক্টরে মাধ্যমে প্রামান্যচিত্র প্রদর্শন করা হয়।
