শীত ও পথশিশু
টাপুর টুপুর শিশিরকণা
শীতের ছোঁয়ায় তার আলপনা
ঘাসপাতাতে আঁকে।
রাত্রি হলেই আকাশ মাঠে
চাঁদের বুড়ি চরকা কাটে
মেঘমালাদের ফাঁকে।
কুয়াশাতে মাঠ ভরে যায়
মানুষগুলো পেটপুরে খায়
জড়ায় ঘুমের ফাঁদে।
পথশিশু পথের পাশে
মুখ লুকিয়ে সবুজ ঘাসে
হুহু করে কাঁদে।
চাঁদের বুড়ি কান্না শুনে
শীত তাড়ানোর কাপড় বুনে
দাঁড়ায় ওদের পাশে।
সেই কাপড়ের একটু ছোঁয়ায়
পথশিশু রাতটা পোহায়
দুঃখ ভুলে হাসে।
অবাক ঝিঁঝিপোকা
নিঝুম রাতে উদাস হাওয়া
দুধ সাদা রং কাশে
পরশ বুলায় জুম ফসলে
শিশির ভেজা ঘাসে।
ঝিলিকমিলিক জ্যোৎস্না মাখা
রূপোর জলের ধারা
চলছে ছুটে নদীর বাড়ি
আজকে ভীষণ তাড়া।
যাচ্ছে উড়ে দুই নিশিবক
দুলছে ফুলের থোকা
দুলছে পাল ও চাঁদের আলো
অবাক ঝিঁঝি পোকা।
ঘুমটা এখন রাখ
ঘুমপরিরা জড়ায় যখন
খুকুর দুচোখজুড়ে
ছোট্ট খুকু যায় হারিয়ে
স্বপ্নলোকে, দূরে।
ওই আকাশের চাঁদ তারাদের
খুকু ডাকে আয়
জ্যোৎস্না মাখা আলোর পথে
হিম বাতাসের নায়।
বলছে খুকু এলে
জোনাইবাতি জ্বেলে
শিশির ছুঁয়ে খেলবে
খুশির ডানা মেলবে
লাল শাড়িতে গা জড়িয়ে
নূপুর পড়ে পায়।
হঠাৎ মায়ের ডাক
ডাকছে সাথে কাক
বলছে খুকু স্কুলে যা
ঘুমটা এখন রাখ।
মনটা আমার আলোর রেখা
মনটা আমার আলোর রেখা
আলোর যদি পায় সে দেখা
পাখি হয়ে ডাকে
সবুজ ঘাসে পরম সুখে
রোদের ছবি আঁকে।
বকের মতো সাদা মেঘে
সুতোছেঁড়া হাওয়ার বেগে
পাখনা মেলে রাখে
ঝলমলানো আলোর ধারা
সারাটাক্ষণ মাখে।
ফুলবাগিচায় হয় সে মালি
সঙ্গী করে গাছগাছালি
পরশ বুলায় শাখে
স্বপ্নমাখা আলোয় আলোয়
মন ভরিয়ে রাখে।

খেজুর রসের গন্ধ আকুল করে
হিমেল হাওয়ায় গাছের পাতা ঝরে
পথের পাশে সবুজ ঘাসে
শিশির যেন মুক্তা হাসে
ছোট্ট খুকু হাত বাড়িয়ে ধরে।

হিম কুয়াশার চাদর গায়ে মাঠে
কৃষক ভাইয়ের ব্যস্ত সময় কাটে
টাটকা শাকের একটু ঝোলে
মিষ্টি রোদে মনটা দোলে
খেজুর রসের দোকান বসে হাঁটে।
